Birds offer an incredible diversity of shapes, sizes, and colours. They occupy space with a lightness and energy that make them fascinating subjects for photography.
Their plumage, their silhouettes in flight, or their discreet presence in the foliage always bring a touch of poetry to the image.
However, this is not a theme I photograph often.
I do not have a lens suitable for capturing subjects at a long distance, and bird photography usually requires hiding, remaining still for long periods, and waiting for the right moment.
This does not suit my way of working, which is more spontaneous and focused on close subjects in proxi and macro photography.
When the opportunity does arise, I try to capture the presence of the bird simply and without artifice, while respecting its space and elusive nature.
These photographs were taken during a walk by the Seine.
In these photos, you can see birds perched in the trees.
