Journal

We have chosen to bring together in this section all the information related to our work.

This part presents the materials we use, the techniques we apply, and the tools we use in our daily activity.

These elements directly influence the way we work.

Certain properties, even when they appear distant from our creations, help to better understand the manufacturing processes and the technical choices that result from them.

Ancient techniques and choice of methods

We also present the medieval and ancient techniques that inspire us, as well as the criteria that guide our decisions.

We explain why we favour one method rather than another, in which context it is used, and what the limits of each approach are.

Workshop life

We also discuss aspects related to the daily life of the workshop, such as working positions, safety matters, and the purchase or recovery of raw materials.

These aspects, although practical, influence the quality of the work and the way it is carried out.

Hand made tools

An important place is given to tools made by hand. We describe their design, their evolution, and their role in manufacturing.

From forging to shaping, through to the most delicate finishing work, each stage of the process is explained with care.

Tests, mistakes, and even failures are fully part of the creative process.

They demonstrate the development of craft research and represent a valuable source of learning.

A space for sharing and transmission

This journal is a place for the transmission of skills and for explaining craft work to a wider audience.

We aim to make technical knowledge, which can sometimes be complex, accessible through simple but precise explanations and a faithful representation of the realities of manual work.

Ask your questions

You can ask questions about subjects that are not yet presented on the site, such as our methods, our tools, our miniature creations, or related themes.

The form is designed for this purpose. The more precise your question is, the more complete and useful the answer will be for everyone.

Some important clarifications

The questionnaire does not request any personal information.

It does not allow direct contact and we do not respond individually. Questions will be addressed in the "Journal" section of the site.

For any other request, such as a quotation or information concerning our products or our workshop, please use the contact page.
